Arcturu looked out at the dark night sky. "Phoenixs of Crest Mountain! The three young ones have been sealed into the mountain." he bellowed. Only seven of his great Clan remained beside him. They gathered together and with their fire breath, scorched a circle in the ground. Arcturu used his blue flame to ignite a wall of fire around the others. It morphed into a glowing ball, the infamous final cry of the Phoenix a soothing misery. The ball of light shattered itself in an instant and a single egg was left. Arcturu felt their energy, he needed this for the task ahead. He brought the strange egg to a cavern and with his flame scorched a message that would tell of future events. "Generations pass by, and the blue-flamed Phoenix will return again," he whispered to the egg "now I wish to die as a true Phoenix". Arcturu flew out of the cave an ascended to the peak of the mountain. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the last joy he had left: flight. As the morning sun peaked over the hills, his strength weakened. His wings could no longer keep him aloft. He hurtled to the ground and his last thought was "One day we will return free from poison, but until then-". A female dragon emerged from the egg. She took an unsteady flight in the dawn light, to find her kind, unknowingly holding the power of Pheonix until her first-born would it be passed to.

Elysia awoke to black skies. Panicked, she checked her wing. It was untorn. In fact, no evidence of the fire bird remained. A vision...but why? she thought, taking flight to get back to camp. Skyfire would be worried.
